ShaninSpangler's GameLog for Nier Automata (PC)

I've owned NieR Automata for several months but hadn't gotten a chance to play it. So when I started this session with the little knowledge I knew about the game, I didn't know what to expect. I played for nearly an hour and was surprised by first: how beautiful the soundtrack and visuals are but second: how many moral questions were brought up in just the introduction. The game opened up with the statement of "all things is this world are made to have an end, but what if you were cursed to live forever and if someone did this to you, what you would do to them".
Since I was still at the beginning of the game, much of the hour was spent learning combat and controls. However, I did make it to a boss battle where 9S saved 2B's life and but he ends up in critical condition and they both use a black box to wipe out everything around them.
After this session I'm left with many unanswered questions and am definitely interested to play more of this game to find answers. The game is very unique and unlike anything I have played. It feels more like an experience than a game.

Good job Shanin! Your log doesn't seem to get very far into the game, but you still touched on some interesting things. You mention that opening statement, I'm curious what your answer to the question it poses would be.
