More of the same today. The conclusion I have come to about the ethical statement in this game is that they condone murder if the ends justify the means. They give you targets that are despicable people and make you feel like they definitely deserve to die. I feel happiness killing them, rather than sadness or guilt.

Great job! You’ve got some really interesting thoughts here, any of which could make for an interesting OPA. You mention at one point that some of the options the player has to kill the target are marginally more ethical than others, what’s your benchmark to measure how ethical one method is over another? There’s also a lot that could be said about “the ends justifying the means” and how the game makes you feel as you kill these people. You mention feeling happy instead of sad or guilty as you kill these bad people, is that happiness because you’re killing someone bad, or because the person the game wants you to kill is bad? Phrased more clearly, are you happy because you have the opportunity to kill someone bad, or are you happy because you feel like you can justify the killing the game wants you to do?
