Today I chose to play a game that I have been continually progressing through for over three years. World of Warcraft is a MMORPG that excels in not only player vs monster content, but player vs player battles become the focus of the majority of my time spent. I have been playing on and off for the past three years with a Human Warlock that has seen much of the exciting raid dungeons and player vs player battle ground competitions. As I logged into the game, I immediately was engulfed in the social aspect of the game because as soon as I log on, I am connected to all the people I enjoy playing with via a guild. The consensus of our activity is to group up in a group of 10 or 15 and join one of the battlegrounds to defeat the horde in epic battle. The main purpose of killing enemy horde players is to gain more and more honor points that allow you to buy better and better gear. Currently the expansion of this game is not out yet (Released Jan 16th) and new content is scarce, but the overall drive of playing with your friends and destroying horde for the alliance provide this game unending amounts of fun. For some people, World of Warcraft can get old fast. For me, the chance to join up with my closest allys and out strategize the enemy players and monsters is the true goal of this game. I highly encourage anyone who doesn't mind putting in the time to join one of these social networks and conquer the World of Warcraft with your friends!
