¨Ð®.•Þ's GameLog for Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (PS2)

    Tuesday 16 January, 2007

Street Fighter 3 Third Strike was a really good game to play in a tournment. I played it at the video game tournament and it was pretty fun. It was even more difficult to play another person than it was to play the computer. However, there is not much of an audience for 2dimensional fighting games. A game like street fighter is meant to be played in Arcades mostly, so it is sometimes not rare to have someone play the game with a arcade joystick style controller. I believe it make sthe gameplay easier and makes someone slightly better, ever since the Street Fighter 2 Arcade game came out, games of that two dimensional style are played better with arcade joysticks.
Another aspect which becomes aparent when playing this game more seriously against other players is that everyone plays differently and strategy becomes very important. As I was playing at home I thought this might be the case. The hardest part to do in this game is parry. This parry/counter technique is probably the most game-altering move in the game, with mastering this, you can pretty much own the competition. For this game the hardest part for me to to is countering supermoves.

I love Street Fighter man lol. Seeing this game log makes me happy. I've always been a fan of street fighter since the old Street fighter 2 series and on up. Ive played everything from that to the alpha series, to the EX series and back to Street Fighter 3 second impact and third strike. Third Strike is just so different compared to the older games. Though it has super arts and the all new parrying system, I like how it still feels somewhat like the old street fighter we all know. With fighting games like Mortal Kombat in the past, as more sequels came out, it felt like it inched away from what made it great. Street Fighter 3rd Strike is just so smooth and adds a new feel along with the old. They have the classic Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li but have a whole bunch of new characters that have similar styles to other characters from the past. Dudley fights similar to Barlog but also has a ken style uppercutt. Necro is just as lanky as Dhalsim but also has eletricity specials like Blanka. I was so happy to finally play with Sean after seeing him in random old games. He is my favorite character and everyone takes me lightly when I play with him. I enjoy putting the hurt on people while throwing basketballs ^^

Anywho I need to get started on a gamelog myself. This Gamelog made me happy to read. I hope they come out with street fighter 4 someway/somehow ; ;. In any case, this is one of my favortite fighting games and I hope you continue to love it in the future ^^
