thisisnotjay's GameLog for Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)

    Saturday 20 January, 2007

I'm mainly frustrated with this game, because I still can't get past that long jump in the second level. I've spent an additional hour trying to figure out ways to make this jump, but no matter what, everything fails. I've unlocked all the secret boxes and went through all the tunnels, but I still can't pass it. I have officially decided to give up this game and play something else.

    --------

Essentially, I think all aspects of this game are good. I wish I can get more into it, but I probably won't get that far into it on the computer version. As for changes, I'd take out some of those hidden invisible boxes that keep forcing me to die. Also, I'd probably make the jump at the end of the second level a little shorter. I'm not sure if Yoshi can be used in this game, since I haven't gotten that far yet, but I'd also love to use Yoshi, like in the other Mario series.

Hey man are you serious? Are you playing on computer? If so it might be hard to play. Do you know how to run? I think you just hold down A or B while moving. That should make that long jump a easy as pie. I could beat that game when I was 6 so I think you should be able to make it past level 2.

How about some more analysis on the design on the game? Waht makes it good or bad? What would you change?
