So, after winning one, I ended up playing again with my roommates. Of course, I was Yoshi again. This time, we went back to 20 turns. I was so relieved. 35 turns is a bit much for me especially when they end up making you do the same mini-games. That was one downside. There probably could have been more mini-games to avoid any redundancy. When playing over again and seeing levels for the second time, I noticed the boards more. For the most part, I thought they designed the boards nicely. I was a bit sad they didn't have more boards and characters though. Well, no matter how many characters there are, I will always be Yoshi. But, it was the first one in the series so of course it had it's flaws. I haven't played any of the other ones in the series, but I hope to someday to compare them. Nevertheless, Mario Party was a fun experience because it brought all the roommates together. I think there's something about Mario games, at least the multi-player ones, that bring people together. Sometimes, games are worse when you add addtional human players, but Mario Party is just as good if not better with more human players.

Mario party sucks. It is a bogus game that some fat asshole made up because he didn't have his usually morning cup of coffee. Now, a real game would be something along the lines of halo, or the godfather, or call of duty:3-those are games to talk about, not Mario Party:64!

Well, if you don't like it that's your opinion. It's an original game. I think it's fun. You don't have to insult other peoples' tastes.

Agreed. The purpose here is to discuss games and experiences related to them. Such a comment is not at all in the spirit of this site.

I've found Mario Party to be the beginning of a long and enjoyable series which has entertained my friends and me at many a... well... party. ;-)
