Well, I went back and tried the "RTS" mode and was very disappointed with the first two levels. In the "Chronicles of the Swords" mode, you control up to 5 units that can engage enemy's in battle, which then switches over to the standard fighting ring mode. It is really easy to beat because your units reincarnate really quickly.
Its a really good fighting game, I just am unable to play fighting games because i get frustrated so easily. I will continue to struggle onwards and maybe, someday, I will be able to win consistently.

It would be nice if you would comment some on the design of the game. What design choices were made that differ it from other fighting games? How has the genre evolved over time?
