SUMMARY
Halo 3 is a great first person shooter. Halo has always had a lot of hype around its name and this one definitely lives up to that. Each level has a really captivating environment and there is never a moments rest. The game has a way of swallowing you up and making you never want to stop playing. Single player is one thing but once you get online and play, it opens up a whole new part to Halo 3. There are so many choices you have in terms of what type of game you want to play. It is hard to get sick of them.
GAMEPLAY
I never got sick of playing the game when I tried it out for the first time. I have liked the Halo games in the past so I was really eager to try this one out. Master Chief is back in action and he looks better than ever. In some of the levels you are fighting alongside the Arbiter and this time he actually helps you out when fighting. You feel like you have an actual partner and I was happy when he showed up in certain levels. Guilty Spark makes an appearance again and has even more attitude than it did in the previous Halo games. Again he helps Master Chief through some levels but he takes a turn for the worst at the end. The relationship you build with the different characters is fun and exciting. You feel like you are fighting for a reason.
The story line is interesting enough that you are actually interested when a cut scene comes up. The scenes aren't too long and there is enough to keep you interested for the whole game. If you don't pay attention, it's not as fun to go through the levels. The gameplay is really smooth and the enemies react to your actions in a realistic manner. You can choose to go head first into the fray of things or you can be more cautious. The thing about Halo is that some of the levels are just ridiculous. There are so many people to fight and when you are by yourself, it can get very frustrating. But once you get past that wall, you feel very rewarded.
Halo 3 is a great game to play with your friends. The multiplayer aspect to the game is one of the best in my opinion. Games can get very intense but they are always fun. You always end of laughing and having a good time. You can move up in rank when you play online. It is really fun to move up in rank and you want to try harder and harder to get better. You are also rewarded with getting new types of armor when you beat the single player missions on different difficulties. You can also win new armor when you get better online. It is also fun to team up with friends and play against other people from all over the world.
DESIGN:
The design in this game obviously took a long time. This game is very pleasing to look at and and the environments are really intricate. You can get caught on certain levels but you tend to get past them with 3-4 tries. I think this Halo has a better level design because it seems like there is more space to use and more ways of attacking your enemy. There is only one way to go but the levels aren't confining.
If you are looking for a fun game to play and a fun game to play with your friends, then Halo 3 is your choice. It is always fun to pop into your Xbox 360 and play.

While this is a perfectly acceptable first part of a GameLog, where's the second half...?
Other than that, please add more about design in later entries. Especially go further with how you started thinking about level design. Consider how the level design effects the game in more than a few scant sentences. There are also some thoughts to continue up in the gameplay section, like how multiplayer adds to the game, how a partner effects the game, and the tactics and strategy you can use. The gameplay section was very good, and I'd like to see that in the design section as well.
Next time, please submit the second half of the assignment, and add a better design section. If you do that, I'm sure it will be much better.
