jp's GameLog for Yo Ho Ho! Puzzle Pirates (PC)

Ah... got bored with this. It's kind of fun...but not THAT much fun. At least for me. The main problem I think is with the competitiveness of the puzzles. They don't really get that much harder as you play AND you can't really tell (directly) how well you are doing.
I know that the lack of a score is the result of a design decision. However, I'd be interested to know why that decision was taken because I think it does detract a little from the gameplay. Puzzles seem more like treadmill/rote activities than little mini-games.

I'm not sure if you stopped playing before the update was put in that does increase the difficulty levels of the puzzles based on your sill ranking at them. So they do get harder now.
Also, you can tell how well you are doing by a puzzle indicator that is on the screen and also by the duty report that comes up every league or so when you are sailing.
You should give it another try. They've made alot of updates since you stopped playing. And this is my favorite MMO ever!

Thanks for the heads up on the name, developer and publisher. You'll notice I've made the appropriate corrections. :-)
As for the game, I agree with you in that it is one of the most interesting MMOs to come out recently. In particular, because it is such a fresh change from all the elves/orcs and general hack and slash. I think I will check it out again, just to see what's new... I'm sure they've added a million new games as well.
