Gameplay
one of the things i like most about the game is the one player mode. the game really makes single player more enjoyable by introducing new challenges such as the home run challenges, target test, event matches and multi man melee, all star, and adventure. and it also has the same songle player modes from the N64 version: classic and target test. the variety of single player makes keeps the game interesting and fresh.
as far as the multiplayer goes, it is only fun when playing with someone on your skill level. if played with someone who is not as skilled at the game it is a complete slaughter. the ablilty to perfect your skills is one of the strong points of the game. but it can often be its weak point, by making games one sided towards those who dont play as often.
Design
the game design in my opinion is flawless. the game allows you to set up the matches however you like: with items or without, which items your want, the arena of your choice, which players you want to play. all of these things can be manioluated by the player which puts you in total control of the situation. since each character has their own set of special moves, it takes time to perfect each one which is good since nobdy wants a game they can beat easily. the background music for the game is also a good quality the game uses different tunes from previous games such as the classic Mario Bros beat and even the intro song form Donkey Kong 64. overall the game does a really good job bringing together all the gaood qualities from the games that the players derive from whether it was by the character itself, the different themems of the stages, the background music, and the gameplay in general are all remarkable. what can i say i love to smash!!!!!
