ENTRY 2
GAMEPLAY
The multiplayer of this game is very valuable. It is very fun to actually learn the maps and know where you are going to find your opponents. The multiplayer gives instant competition for any gamer. There are many different game types that you can choose to play to keep the game fresh. The levels are pretty fun and for a 3-D shooter create a good atmosphere and obstacles for combat.
In one player mode the story is pretty intense, and predictable at the same time. As most Bond stories go you end up saving the world from near destruction. I liked the weapons and ammo in the game. You could always be running into a room and almost expect there to be a weapon of some choice, which is critical in the multiplayer, because slappers do not always cut it.
DESIGN
This game was very innovating creating a semi smooth 3-D first person shooter. It was very innovative t have the smart self locking on when you shot, because with the available controls its hard to actually aim. This makes it easier for all to play. The levels to this game are pretty cool, which for a game at this time pretty life like. The single player missions were generally all one path that you have to follow with doors needing to be unlocked to continue on. This was acceptable for the game, because it was constant action the whole way through.
The tone to this game throughout to me seemed pretty dark. It almost gave the feel of an old communist Russia on some levels. It made the game play a little more hardcore by making you feel like world was being destroyed. The characters were pretty square and not incredibly detailed. However, this doesn’t take too much away from the game, because it still has a fun point and an entertaining game play. The games reward was more characters and levels as you beat different missions. This really makes the multiplayer even more of a jewel to the game.
