jp's GameLog for Animal Crossing (GC)

I played a little more Animal Crossing last night but it's definitely starting to wear a bit thin. I sort of feel like when I'm checking one of my obscure e-mail accounts that maybe get something once a month. I'm basically making sure that al l the animals are "happy". Funnily enough, they were all kind of snarky to me! Hey, it's been 3 weeks since I last saw you, where have you been, yadda yadda. Cute.
I guess one of the main reasons I'm still interested in the game is that I want to get all the bugs, catch all the fish and so on. (we completed the fossil collection!) On the other hand, I know that many of the fish (and I suspect the bugs too) are seasonal. I won't see them or catch them unless it's winter, or fall or whatever. So, I'm kind of stuck in a rut where I wish the real-world clock would tick faster in order to make the Animal Crossing clock move along too.
I want to see some Animal Crossing snow!
On the other hand, there are still plenty of surprises... my wife went to an aerobics class where the well is! Cool! (I think you have to play at 7am or something like that...that's NOT going to happen any time soon...)

Yup. You can change the system clock BUT, the game knows!!
One time we played a mole-guy popped out of a hole in the ground and started to yell at us for "resetting" the game. I have no idea what he was talking about (or what happened) but it was really funny.
The other thing I've heard is that if you mess around with the system clock you can mess up the in-game event calendar. There is a calendar with different events that happen on different days in different places, etc. (some are holidays but others are just "random" like the fishin tournament in June).
So, yes..changin the clock is a possibility..but bad things may happen. Anyways, my wife is really enjoying the game. :-)
