jmarcel1's GameLog for Army of Two (360)

What can be said of "Army of Two" that hasn't already been said about the myriad of other frat-boy army shooters. It's utterly devoid of any captivating gameplay, and what little of it I played was like trying to eat soup with a fork.

Eating soup with a fork sounds pretty challenging, which may not be a bad thing i a game, eh? :-)

I should have clarified. Army of Two is challenging in the wrong way. The game itself is actually quite easy since the enemy AI is so bad that I felt like I was shooting at hoards of blind people intent on dying. The game has a variety of features that are meant to be used to complete certain missions but it was almost always easier to just run around with my finger permanently on the trigger button. Changing weapons and tossing grenades was an inexplicably complex process that revolved around pressing multiple buttons to accomplish simple tasks. The characters moved as though they were always pushing wheel barrels. The camera often moved away from where it needed to be. Basically, all of the things that should be simple, like gameplay, were unnecessarily convoluted and all of the things that should have been challenging, like enemy AI, were mindlessly simplistic.
