Day 3 and the best reason i have to play this game again is the fact that it is for a grade. It is a interesting concept to put it in their perspective and attempt to justify what they are trying to do. they are outcasts but that should not be a reason for mass murder. Its all too sad to play this again and fully invest feelings into it. From the music to the cut scene of implied homosexuality and primal living where no one can bother them. Its very sad that this is a real life situation and that this is is how they decided to make a name for themselves.
If i could put a rationalization to playing this game it would be from the utilitarian perspective where event hough i don't like the game all too much i definitely will play it and write about it as the instructions say, simply for the utility of it. that is the grade and the possible revelations about it. Its that simple. Otherwise i wouldn't play this game because its a little disrespectful to the average gamer. to sympathize so much with the villain. Its a little like playing Mario as bowser and the goal is to kidnap an innocent girl simply because you want to or need to for whatever reason, I don't think there are ever reasons given in Mario why he does this so often every generation of gaming .
from Kant's perspective, should I play this game? Yes it would be wise to play this game since there are definite benefits of realizations about society that directly affect us and give us real meaning to our lives as well as clarify why they did this some extent, although this is made by an outside source and not them. So i think maybe then i would say Kant would say don't waste your time on video games that are unproductive in some way or only serve to waste time that is valuable and could be spent in more productive ways.
today was a breeze and most of the game was spent watching cut scenes and avoiding killing. Kinda Lame, very sad and not worth playing...much.

"It is a interesting concept to put it in their perspective and attempt to justify what they are trying to do"
Do you think the game tries to justify what the shooters did or is it perhaps trying to get us (the players) to connect with the fact that they were, after all kids? I agree with you that one of the most lasting feelings from playing the game is of sorrow, not only for the victims but also in a sense for the shooters who wasted their lives away in such a terrible way.
