CaryH's GameLog for Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC)

    Wednesday 27 October, 2010

The shooting spree that is portrayed in the game is badly made and designed. The ability to use the gun is not challenging at all. Even though it is realistic that someone shot with a gun in the right area would instantly die it is not a good mechanic in a game because the battles would end up very short. The ability to auto battle away everything is also poor game designed. It removes the player from having to do much. It seems like it is a way so players can avoid trying to mass murder all the students in the school. The design of having players play through this is still in my opinion a unethical thing. There is no positive bonus in making a game such as this except to retell the story of the event. It could be done through so many other ways that are much better and ethical. As I keep going through and killing all the students it makes me not want to play the game anymore since it gets very depressing having to go though and continue to murder people. After I finally reached hell I stopped playing the game and did not want to go back. If the point of this is to show that violent video games are bad and can have a negative effect then the creator did a good job. Because once I reached a certain point I completely wanted to stop playing the game. The game overall in my opinion is still poorly made and I don't think anyone else should have to play this. There are no instructions on what to do and nothing ever is explained throughout the entire game. It is still badly made. I think that it should be removed and never seen again. The game isn't made very well at all.

Do you think that the game's low difficulty (e.g. ease of killing students) is part of the creator's point?
